Hi guys, i am FSNotes author. File system notes manager is open source and free reinvention of nvALT. Any questions?
I constantly use nvALT (and earlier Notational Velocity) I think a fresh alternative - it's worth looking at. .... And even more so, Open Source, but who wants to support the development, they can buy

the only fast and simple note app I know of, that has code highlighting and a very nice markdown support

Pros:

code highlighting

Cons:

┐(´~`)┌

Quiver also has these things, although this definitely looks more lightweight
Great stuff. Needs better icon and name, but awesome to see improvements on the great Notaional Velocity app.

This is a power-user's note app, built for speed, speed, speed.

Pros:

Fast, open-source, supports RTF, multiple note source directories, super-responsive developer; syncs with iOS version.

Cons:

Nothing really.
