I'm the maker of FreeVideoToAudio.
I built this because I was paranoid about uploading my videos to online converters. You never really know where your files end up, right?
The solution: do everything locally. This tool uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so all the heavy lifting happens right in your browser. Your video files never leave your device.
A few technical notes:
- The WASM converter (~30MB) loads on first use, then it's cached
- Works offline after that initial load
- Tested on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
