Follymarket is the first recursive prediction market. Participants may predict whether or not the site itself will reach it's revenue target. We elegantly avoid regulatory hurdles by completely removing the payout mechanic.
Hi Hunters, first of all, I appreciate everyone here building useful apps that provide real value. It's very inspiring, and yet I decided to go the opposite way.
Prediction markets are a big topic right now, and I really wanted to ride on this wave. However, compliance regulations make it difficult to enter this space because the platforms revolve around real financial stakes.
I went to the drawing board to figure out how to solve this, and found a very simple yet elegant solution:
Follymarket is the first recursive prediction market, where the only question to bet on is whether the site itself will meet a revenue target.
With as little as $2, you can be part of this experience. To avoid the regulatory complications, we removed the payout mechanic entirely, meaning that we are able to retain 100% of our revenues.
Correct voters will instead be compensated through prophet points, which ranks them on a leaderboard against fellow participants.
Can't wait to get started? Our first market is live now: "Will Follymarket reach $1,000 in revenue before the end of March 2026?"
I believe we can do it!
