Hey everyone! 👋 I'm a product designer by day, and I kept running into the same annoyance: whenever I needed to write something short, like a simple contract or a quick note, I'd open Word or Google Docs and immediately get lost in menus, pop-ups, and features I never asked for. That frustration is basically why Foglio exists. I just wanted one clean, private space where the document is all you see. The idea behind it is pretty simple. Writing an NDA, an invoice, or some meeting notes shouldn't require heavyweight software. Most editors seem built for big enterprise teams. The rest of us just want to start typing in seconds, stay focused, and share it when it's done. That's it. This relaunch is a big step in that journey. Foglio now has smart templates for things like contracts, invoices, and meeting notes, plus folders, one-link sharing, and AI writing help built right into the editor. Not a chatbot stuck to the side of your screen, just a quiet "improve this draft" step that stays out of your way until you need it. when typing in a language that uses an IME (korean, japanese, chinese), validation often fires while the characters are still being composed. so you get an error for an invalid input that you're still in the middle of typing.

listening for compositionstart / compositionend before validating fixes it. easy to miss if you don't test with those input methods.
