I realized I'd been casually uploading sensitive documents - tax files, client data, contracts - to random free converters for years. Probably you have too. The problem with online converters: → Your files go to unknown servers → Many inject malware or harvest data → They're slow (upload → convert → download) → They break when you're offline FileFlip is the opposite: → Runs entirely on your machine → Zero network calls (I literally didn't include networking code) → Instant conversion (no upload wait) → Works offline forever Built with Rust and Tauri - the whole app is 5MB vs 150MB+ for Electron apps.
