favics is a social network for fashion bloggers, photographer, labels & designers. The platform just went from private to public beta after three months being private. We built it for favics and I hope to get good feedback from the product hunt community about the idea and am looking forward to your questions!

Great idea, however social shopping is a challenging field. A ton of startups have tried to either add social layers or gamify shopping and fashion (ex. fantasy shopper, raised 3Mn. now in the deadpool). How are you guys tackling social shopping, or is it more about building a community of designers and bloggers (again tons of others doing this)?

I'm currently working with a top menswear brand and checked out the landing page. I was hoping the video would provide some answers for me but it just left me confused as to what you're trying to do with Favics. Not enough info for me to setup an account. Curious to know your approach with the video. Maybe I'm not the right audience.

Good point. Instead of concentrating only on big brands favics also aims at smaller labels wich serve niches in the fashion world and may not have their own shop yet but have a very strong community. The goal is to give those brands or labels the perfect tool to increase sales and brand identification of the user, e.g. by providing tools for managing the product content (storytelling) and testing user interactions. We intend to use the technology we are working on right now with Narrator (http://narrator.io). Right now favics is only a MVP to get the first feedback and analyze the response. The shopping features will come in the next phase. What is missing and where should the concept be improved? Thanks for your input!

@alwaysunday You are right, the video is trying to get to the "favic", the fashion victim and is not explaining the platform itself. We will have to work on that.
