FaceFinder started as a weekend experiment after a friend got catfished using their own photos. None of the existing tools could reliably find the fake profiles. That felt insane in 2025. So we built a face-first reverse image search engine focused on accuracy, speed, and real use cases: fake profiles, impersonation, stolen content, and identity verification. The product changed a lot while building. We scrapped our first model, rebuilt the crawler, and reworked ranking to prioritize face similarity over visual noise. Accuracy mattered more than having a massive index. This is v1. It’s not perfect. We’re here to learn from the community.
