Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Enzer, the solo dev behind EvoCat 🐾 I built EvoCat because I was seriously struggling with mindless scrolling. Even when I had important things to do, studying, working, building, I’d catch myself wasting hours on my phone. I tried timers, app blockers, and all the usual tools. They worked for a while, but always felt boring and too easy to bypass. So I asked myself: what if staying focused felt like raising a pet? That’s how EvoCat was born. It’s a gamified app blocker where you evolve a digital cat by staying focused. Every time you block distractions, EvoCat grows, and with each evolution, the blocking becomes stronger (adding real-world friction). It’s still an early version, but this simple, fun approach helped me way more than traditional focus apps.
