Although it does indeed improve sound quality, it doesn't handle Bluetooth headphones, and is basically impossible to uninstall. I eventually ended up with Boom, which is kind of expensive, but works very well.

eqMac2 is now available - much more stable that v1 which would constantly crash. How do we update this hunt to reflect the new product (shares the same URL which PH submission process doesn't seem to like) @rrhoover?

I found this small hidden gem thanks to the mighty power of Google: it's surprisingly capable, even if from time to time it's a bit buggy. It hasn't the easiest UX, but for a free product, it's well worth a shot!
