Today is an exciting day as we unveil our labor of love to the world!
Throughout our years in the tech space, we consistently faced an annoyingly complex yet simple problem. No matter the platform, at some point, there's a need to generate PDFs, and finding the perfect solution for this task is a real headache.
You're left with two less than ideal options: rely on abandonware like wkhtmltopdf or resort to using Chrome Headless solutions such as Puppeteer.
For those who've attempted the latter, you're all too familiar with how rapidly Puppeteer consumes server CPU and RAM with each Chrome instance. Trying to "do it right" often spirals into a plethora of other challenges, including workload parallelization, job queues, and even microservices.
This constant struggle sparked the idea for Doppio.sh. We've developed a fully managed API that simplifies the HTML to PDF/screenshot conversion process, freeing up valuable developer time and eliminating the need for constant reinvention of the wheel.
Our goal with Doppio.sh is to let developers focus on what they do best - creating great products, while we handle the intricacies of PDF and screenshot generation. We're thrilled to share this with you and look forward to your feedback!
