👋 hi folks! I’m Dan, cofounder & CEO of Donut. It’s an understatement to say that the last year and a half has been tough, and we’ve been inspired by the resilience and creativity of our community. Seeing folks stay connected through Donut Intros, building rapport through Watercooler, and starting to cautiously dip a toe into in-person Donut meetings has brought a huge smile to our faces. We feel more committed than ever to our mission of building connection, camaraderie, and community. Now that we’re on the precipice of the next phase of work, we wanted to build on what we learned in this last year+ of stay-at-home-ordered remote work: it’s time to figure out how to make hybrid work "work." Yes, there’s a lot to figure out in terms of the logistics, but we want to help with the hard part: creating real connections on and across teams when some folks are in the office and others are working remotely; providing equitable access to resources and opportunities in an uneven hybrid landscape; and making sure that there are plenty of ways to have fun together, no matter how or where you’re working. Our hybrid work release includes new features like Favorite Things, hybrid-friendly templates, Watercooler for shared channels, Hybrid-friendly Intro messages, and more. We’re here so please reach out with any questions, ideas, or feedback. We’re excited to share this with you and can’t wait to hear what you think — and to hear how you’re planning to adjust to this next phase.

There have been hundreds (maybe thousands?) of new tools that have sprouted up during the last year to bring us closer together with our colleagues, but *none* are as effective, seamless, or simply delightful as Donut. This is the best way to build real connectivity between you and your teammates in a way that feels natural, not intrusive, productive, not pushed, and organic, not inauthentic. Can't recommend Donut enough. Congrats to @danmanian and the whole Donut team on this launch!

Congrats! I've really enjoyed getting to know my Product Hunt coworkers with Donut. How else would we have connected on things like how we liked Loki? Looking forward to the new features :).

Absolutely love the Donut app. We have been using it at my company since the lockdown and now with restrictions lifted, we have decided to go hydrid - this sounds just perfect for us. Can't wait to try it out.
