Simple recurring tasks, enforced by email with proof of execution. No projects. No boards. No noise. No bloated tools like Asana or ClickUp.

Calendars, task boards, and reminders are great, but they still leave you asking “was this actually done?”

So we kept DonePing intentionally small:

  • recurring tasks

  • email as the primary channel

  • explicit confirmation

  • a simple execution log

No projects, no workflows, no dashboards you have to maintain.

I’m excited about this because it removes a lot of operational noise for small teams, especially those who already rely on email and don’t want another heavy tool.

I’d love to hear from the community:

  • How do you handle recurring tasks today?

  • Where does confirmation break down for you?

  • What would make a tool like this genuinely useful (or unnecessary)?
