  • Pros:

It reduces a burden about my domain expire, Domain Fox let you notify through Slack, Email and SMS

    Cons:

    Please add Auto Renewal option.

Usually a single notification will be given to the registered email with the Domain resistor, if the authorised person miss the notification it may get to big problem for our customers. But DomainFox have solved it my giving Slack, Email and SMS notification to all our Team members in single shot. Thanks to DomainFox

Why DomainFox? Do you believe that some of the big Internet giants forget to renew their domain name? Can't you believe? Yes, we too. Okay, take your coffee and read this story (https://www.theregister.co.uk/20...) where the marketing giant Marketo (https://marketo.com) was recently failed to renew their domain. After this incident, we think about it and surprised how could it happen. Crazy? The problem is when a specific person of your company holding the rights to manage the domain where others don't have. Though the domain registrar sends expiry notification, the emails are going to unmonitored inbox like admin@yourdomain.com or to the person who usually busy and forget to renew the domain. We want to solve this problem and the result is domainfox.co. You just go ahead and build your business and we'll notify if your domain name is due for renewal.

I can see the problem this is trying to solve. In a team scenario, it's possible for one person to miss renewal and others to not even know about it. Kudos on thinking about this.

While I liked the problem statement you're solving for, after looking at the website, I have the following 3 suggestions : 1. Run the site through a professional business copyrighter. I found some grammatical mistakes e.g. It should be "Don't let your domain expire like Marketo did" instead of current "Don't let your domain expires like Marketo". A good English copy can make a lot of difference. 2. Explain the value proposition upfront in 30 seconds to grab attention. A lot of people don't even know what Marketo is - so the slogan with them in the name won't catch attention. There are alternatives.e.g. "Who gets notifications when your domain is about to expire? What if they miss the notifications?" etc. 3. Since you're taking about domains, not websites, the pricing table should mention "5 domains" instead of "5 websites". All the best.

I just got emailed several times telling me to renew my domain. With many you can also set an autorenew. I'm afraid I only see this as useful if the person in charge is disorganised.

@petecodes Of course. However, domain hustlers are used to registering the domain with different registrars and email from multiple places will be annoying at some point. A single dashboard to look for all the domains and next renewal will give them ease view. Also, how do you feel if you will be notified when your favorite domain (blocked by someone else) is available for renewal or sale?

@sktgthill first off, I'd rather you didn't tweet my feedback. Feels a bit...weird. Sure, I can see for someone waiting for a domain it could be useful.

If I'm going to miss the notification from my registrar, what makes it likely I won't miss yours to?

@sumitkishore Really it's a good question. This tool is to bring your teammates as well as into the platform. So all of you get notified at the same time. The chance of missing the notification is likely zero. And notification channels are Email, SMS and Slack.

@sktgthill So you're targeting the admin who's diligent enough to configure the details for team emails, phone numbers and slack on DomainFox, but too lazy to set up a mailing list forward directly. I'm sorry, I see very limited appeal for this service.

@sumitkishore I agree on you. But btw, you don't need to configure the details for your team. Just invite them to the platform with the email address and they will update the details for themselves. Next, it will be more helpful when people are playing around with more domains. Another use case: How does it sound if you will be notified when your favorite domain is ready for sale or renewal.
