I built Dictámelo around a simple workflow: hold a shortcut, talk and get the text at the cursor I wanted local speech models to be an everyday option, with downloads inside the app and no separate Python setup The Rust and Tauri app is MIT licensed, and local transcription needs no account or API key after downloading a model You can also choose cloud transcription if that suits your setup The distinction matters: local dictation runs on your computer, while optional cloud providers and AI cleanup send the corresponding audio or text to a service Downloads cover Mac with Apple Silicon and Windows x64 or ARM64 Source: https://github.com/sarrazola/dic...
