DeskMinder started from a very simple frustration: my Mac desktop kept turning into a dumping ground… but I didn’t want an app that automatically moves or deletes my files behind my back. So DeskMinder takes a deliberately conservative approach: it only looks at files on your desktop it highlights the ones that haven’t been touched in a while and it lets you decide what to clean up, manually No background automation, no surprise actions — just visibility and control. It lives quietly in the menu bar and is there when you need a quick cleanup session, not as something constantly nagging you. This is an early version, currently free, and I’m genuinely looking for feedback: Is the workflow clear? Are the stats useful or distracting? What would actually make you clean your desktop more often?
