Hey Everyone πŸ‘‹,

I'm Krishna, launching my first product here on PH.

I'm excited to introduce DeepTick, a personal companion for staying focused in our distracted world. DeepTick helps you build attention skills, overcome distractions, and achieve more meaningful results every day! πŸš€

In today's constant stream of notifications and interruptions, the ability to focus has become a true superpower. While it might sound like a clichΓ©, focus really is like a muscle that strengthens with practice. DeepTick provides the structure and insights you need to build this skill, one session at a time. 🧠πŸ’ͺ

Key features include:

βœ… Simple task organization with priorities, categories, and step-by-step breakdowns
⏱️ Customisable work/break timers that match your natural attention span
πŸ“Š Visual timeline and insights to track your focus improvement over time
πŸ“† Intuitive drag-and-drop time blocking to plan realistic, achievable days
πŸ† Achievement system that makes building focus habits rewarding, not stressful
🎨 Clean, distraction-free design with personalised themes that reduce cognitive load

DeepTick could be perfect for students juggling course work, professionals managing complex projects, creators protecting their flow state, people with ADHD building attention skills, and anyone seeking better focus in our notification-filled world! 🎯

I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback as I continue to improve DeepTick!

Stay Focused,
Krishna

Many focus apps is just fancy timers. What sets DeepTick apart from other solutions and how does it genuinely foster long-term focus?

Krishna Sangeeth

Hey@jesus_porterΒ , I feel the technique of using pomodoro (focus timers) is something that really works to have sustainable productivity levels. But that alone might not be sufficient, the aim with DeepTick is that in connection with the other components of the app it provides a much more meaningful and valuable experience for the user.

Grayson Parker

Does DeepTick incorporate any scientifically proven methods such as the Pomodoro technique or principles of deep work?

Krishna Sangeeth

Hey @grayson_parker2Β ,

I have taken some inspiration from the book "Deep Work" by Cal Newport. In the app we connect pomodoro sessions to tasks. Instead of focusing on whether we completed the task, the emphasis is more on how many focus sessions (pomodoro) did we do while taking on the task. I feel this is much more saner way to measure personal productivity, since there are so many variables at play on whether a task can be completed or not.

But we can always strive to do our best with a constant stream of focus sessions. And this if followed for a lengthy period of time can become a habit of sorts which is what DeepTick strives to do.

Justin Deacon

Such an amazing tool. Does DeepTick function offline or is an internet connection necessary?

Krishna Sangeeth

Hey @justin_deaconΒ , Thanks for your question.

It works completely offline without any need for internet connectivity. Your data is essentially stored locally and never shared with anyone else.

Hina Siddiqui

I admire the mission but how does DeepTick assess actual focus improvement?

Krishna Sangeeth

Hey@hina_siddiquiΒ ,

We track the focus sessions that are done as part of working on the task and that becomes the unit of measurement across the app. IMHO it can be an indicator of how well our productivity levels are.
