🌟 Hey ProductHunt community! I originally made DarkHotels for myself. As an exhausted parent/founder, I was looking for an hotel/eco-resort to deeply rejuvenate. I didn't want to be around tourists. I didn't want to do anything. I just wanted 🌲 NATURE. And I wanted lots of it. 🌃 But I couldn't find any easy way to filter out the hotels/airbnbs that are the most immersed in nature. Booking.com and Airbnb have some filters, but they're very rudimentary and mostly ineffective. So I had the idea to check each potential location on a light pollution map to assess their "rurality." After switching tabs a dozen times, I got tired and decided to overlay hotels/airbnbs on the map directly. This is how DarkHotels was born. Sometimes I love to run from the city lights and noise, feel the fresh air and hear the sound of nature. I hope this tool will help with that. Love the idea! Good luck with the launch and further development.
