Hey Product Hunt! I'm Alex, one of the co-founders of Daminik. We are a small agency from Cologne, Germany. Over the last 10 years we have built small to large web-projects of all kind. Almost every project involved managing images and files in one way or another. How do we manage our images and where? What happens if an image or logo changes, does it get updated across all sites? Which Host/CDN to choose? Is everything we do GDPR-compliant? With Daminik, we have now created a simple solution to solve these problems. One DAM with an integrated CDN. That’s it. And, oh yeah: It's open source! Four people worked on Daminik: - @chrsss (Design) - @kristina_kliwer (Frontend) - @dominik (Backend) - @janina_schwan (PM) - …Me (just here for the looks) We would love to get your guys feedback on our Alpha. Have a great day, Alex
@chrsss @kristina_kliwer @dominik @janinCheers to a successful launch! Wishing you impactful and rewarding experiences. What feature are you most proud of?a_schwan @poolie

Gratz on the launch, good job by you and your team. when do you think we can have video/blob/... added too? and what are you guys using for storage? can we have it deployed locally?
Alexander Kaiser
@m4jiz hey man, thanks for the comment. We are working on a few features around the general system next. after that we will also expand the asset-support, video is of course a priority. we use s3 as storage, in the open source version you can simply use your own s3!
Majid Izadi
@poolie amazing, cool stuff you are doing there, good luck man

@poolie Congrats! This look really cool but I'm unsure of the use case, how would someone use this? I had trouble with the arcade demo (maybe I was doing something wrong). Also on your home page I think you meant to write "...Asset Manager with a built-in Content Delivery Network." not BUILD. Congrats again! :)

@mark_townsend1 hah, fixed the typo, thank you! Using a digital asset manager (DAM) for images and videos offers numerous benefits. A single location to store all digital assets, making it easier to manage, search, and retrieve files without needing to navigate multiple folders or platforms. Teams can access and work on assets simultaneously. Version Control, Access Control and much more :) plus we offer a CDN.

@poolie Cool, thanks. So would you say social media managers are your target audience?
