Hey PH family! I always wanted to make an app that would just let me scroll through different new products. It might sound weird but I get amazed with people's creativity. And I love that. Later this year I came across Producthunt. It does exactly that. Tho I really couldn't trash out making my own Producthunt from my mind. And it wouldn't make sense to make another Producthunt. So I ended up making https://daku.app. It has android and iOS(coming soon) apps as well. On a side note, Daku is a Hindi word, which means "robbers" somewhat. I am using Producthunt API to show the products and it sends the user back to Producthunt if they like the product. Basically, Daku is just a fun app to use Producthunt like Tinder in a nutshell.

@thisissubhendu I often refer to Product Hunt as the "Tinder of Products" — I love that you actually brought this metaphor to life!
Subhendu
@chrismessina Yes! I was just telling someone that now you can still play your swipe game even if you are committed. 🙈

Wow amazing idea. I find product hunt so overwhelming and this is like a butter for my heart. The worst part is that you don't have iOS version and I'm into Apple eco system. I tested web version and it works really good but where are my swipes going? It's quite unclear. Also I would add more padding around the text on the card. But in overall, as I said, the idea is awesome and I believe you can find many fans of such version of product hunt. At the beginning I thought that owners of the products gonna date based on their products screenshots and descriptions 😂
Subhendu
@damsmaka Thank you so much. where are my swipes going? If you swipe left, it passes of course. If you swipe right, it will take you to the detailed page of the product. To let you know more about it. This is validating your brand, more of in 3secs or so. An aspect to look at. padding around the text on the card? Thank you so much for pointing that out. I have designed it myself, so not really great at it, still learning. owners of the products gonna date? Well that's a great idea actually. I mean with a twist of course. So get matched with the owner to collaborate maybe? PS: This is on Flutter. I wanted to learn Flutter so, ended up making this. I was a ReactNative guy, now I do both. 🙈

love it @thisissubhendu! I no-code hacked a workaround to achieve something similar after reading about "Tinder for Personal Productivity" on The Generalist. It's not as elegant as yours, but it works on iOS @damsmaka @sarahxjo you can try it with this link - https://producthunt.select.id/

Nice job! @thisissubhendu Can you tweet daily results on how many people liked each product?
Subhendu
@eugenehp This is absolutely amazing idea. Sure, I can do that. There are few more statical ideas which I am working on. Hopefully will be up soon. But thank you so much. Please let me know if you have any more ideas.
Eugene Hauptmann
@thisissubhendu Next step would be implementing "claim" feature for the products. You already have twitter accounts on PH, so you can let users sign in using Twitter. Once account/product is claimed, you can let authors/owners see engagement stats. Think like a custom GA.
Subhendu
@eugenehp how did I miss this comment? 🤩 This is one of the best idea/feature it can be. Thank you so much. This is definitely going to be on the top of the list ❤️
Eugene Hauptmann
@thisissubhendu Right on!
Nazim @Koinju
Nice design. It's a really good idea, congrats to you guys !
Subhendu
@nazim_m thank you so much. Please let me know if you have an features in mind which you would love to see. I would love to hear.

@nazim_m @thisissubhendu suggesting products that fit with the user's interests ;)
Subhendu
@nazim_m @benoit_chambon wow! This is definitely an interesting one. 🙂

@lokesh_coder I am using Blob 2.0 Thank you so much for the tool ❤️. Like I said https://www.producthunt.com/post...

@thisissubhendu Awesome! Thanks for the shout out!! I tried Daku and it is so cool already. When I tried first time in the chrome, I was wondering what was the small bars on the top of the card and how to see other images. Later found out that they are product screenshots indicator. It would be even more cooler if there are arrows on the left/right of the image, so people like me quickly get that there are more screenshots and videos.
Subhendu
@lokesh_coder I agree. I am still learning about UX from being a developer. I will play around with this using Figma and will get back what I can do :) I really appreciate your time. You have been a great inspiration.

Love the idea 🔥🔥🔥
Subhendu
@shivam_ramphal Just wanted to try out to do something with Flutter, Graphql and Producthunt. And ended up with this. :)
Shivam Ramphal
@thisissubhendu, still love the fact of its simplicity :)

Cool :) I love browsing new products on PH, but sometimes also find it a bit unintuitive (having to do so many clicks). Waiting for the iOS version! :)
Subhendu
@sarahxjo I completely agree. Another way to look at this tool to see how attractive/catchy is your brand/idea. Can it grab the attention it need in few secs? iOS version is on the way soon. I have made it with flutter, so code onces, run everywhere. ❤️
