@ishthedestroyer Thank you Ishmael, and thanks so much for supporting us with Paragon! It's made it so much easier to build.

Hey PH Community, Matt here 👋 I'm one of the co-creators of Crowd-Cure.com along with Jeremy and the CURE-19.com team. One of the big blockers to deploying a vaccine or testing medicine at scale is that doctors and other healthcare professionals don't have easy and reliable access to 'clinical trial groups'. These groups are basically tightly controlled beta tester groups for science who work closely with doctors to test new medicine and carry out experimental treatment before it's released onto the market. Nothing gets into market at scale without the help of these groups. Even 5,000 people in a city of 1 million telling doctors how they feel each day gives them enough data to accurately gauge spread, oncoming hospital demand, and conduct epidemiological research at scale. Spotting trends before they become real such as those who take paracetamol noticing change in symptom x can save lives. If you can volunteer how you feel on a daily basis, regardless of if you have symptoms or not, please join us by entering your details in our web app. We'll send the data along, anonymously, to the doctors who need it. With each of us tracking our health daily and participating in these groups, we create a vital supply of crowd sourced information. This information will genuinely save lives, in your community and around the world. Would love to answer any questions or comments you all have 🙌

Awesome initiative - so many data tools in this crisis but not many are making the link to impact.

@rss_1 Thank you Ray! 🙌

There seems to be a lot of these. I've seen two featured on Twitter, and there's the one by King's College London as well (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/new-s...), and now the NHS is considering making one. How is this one different? I get that the data goes to different people, but wouldn't the real solution be to collude together on one app and make the data available to as many scientists as possible, rather than every org making their own app for their own partnered scientists? -- because, with this, people are basically required to check the same info into multiple apps daily.

@mandeep This is a great point! We honestly couldn't agree more, and our hope is that eventually these all merge into one. Right now there are a few differences - we're US-focused whereas some are UK-only; we're also the only one we know of that's actively powering a full clinical trial rather than just mapping the spread and looking for patterns. So I think there's room for a few of these to start with different audiences (for example our branding/messaging has a very different style from the others). There are advantages to trying multiple approaches in parallel to find out what resonates with users. But ultimately the best outcome (after all, we're all doing this with the same goal in mind) is to consolidate into a single service, and we're very keen to start collaborating ASAP. 🙌

Congrats on the launch! This will really help folks out there stay safe.

@foolywk Thanks so much Brandon! That's what we're hoping 🤞

Very exciting to see such a talented team undertaking such an important initiative. Kudos to the team for getting this out the door!

@jmilinovich Thanks John, we really appreciate the kind words and support 🙌

This is amazing. It must be really difficult to get diverse dataset across hubs and this is a pretty easy way to make a dent!

@ziahamza88 You've hit the nail on the head! We're hoping that through enough partnerships and organic sharing we can get a really good spread across the US and beyond. Thanks for the support! 🙌
