2 months ago, my friend @nataaaasia (who is in her 30s) had a terrible experience with #Covid19 in the UK. She asked me if I wanted to help her with a project to document peoples' lived experiences with Covid to share with others as a way of making this a more personal, relatable thing for people to understand. A lot of what we've been seeing in this pandemic has been about statistics. # of deaths, # of hospitalized, # of infected, which takes away the real, personal experiences of people. We wanted to build a resource where people can come, and share their experiences by submitting their videos, and with consent posting them in a collection on YouTube. This way, people who have experienced or are currently experiencing #Covid19 can feel solidarity together, and those who don't fully comprehend the reality of the pandemic, and it's effects on real people of all ages and nationalities. We're pleased that there are already 11 submissions from Canada (our home), the UK, the US, and Poland, and we'd love to see many more from all over. When you opt to submit a video, you're directed to a Google Form to fill out some information, as well as some prompts to record a video and submit via the form. When you consent to submitting your video on YouTube, we use a Zapier Integration to automatically post the video online. We invite you to share your story today! Thanks for listening and stay safe!
