I wish the demo didn't require knowing a server. I'd just like to see how it works.

Hi @hawkee, author here. You can register a new account, simply click on the "register" tab and you can use "conversejs.org" as the XMPP provider. If you want someone to chat with, add me as a friend "jc@opkode.com". I'd like to later add OAuth as well, so that you could log in with Twitter or FB, but that's still a while away.
