Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Clifford, and I wanted to share with you an app I built to help me handle GDPR consent across the different websites I have. Like most of you, I was pretty overwhelmed with all of the things I had to do for the GDPR, including building out a consent form for each of my websites. After building just one of these forms for one of my websites, I realized that I had quickly underestimated the effort involved. Aside from the mechanics of just building the form itself, there was also the tricky business of only executing JavaScript for each of the apps that I use based on consent. Not to mention having to anonymously save visitor preferences while still giving them the ability to review and manage those preferences. Realizing that I was going to have to do this a number of times, I decided to build a single app that I could use across all of my websites. And that's how ConsentJS came to be - and it's also why I'm excited to share it with all of you. Right now, I'm looking to help out others who are in a bind with getting their GDPR consent forms in place. And that's why I need your help! Please take a look at ConsentJS and let me know what you think: Does it look to you like ConsentJS would handle your own unique GDPR consent requirements? If you own or run a website, is it clear what ConsentJS can do for you? You can hit me up on Twitter at @cliffordoravec with any of your thoughts. And of course, if you dig what I'm doing with ConsentJS, I'd really appreciate it if you'd help spread the word to people you think would dig it too. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from all of you!

@cliffordoravec this looks extremely promising! I just sent the link to our lawyer and we'll probably start using consentjs next week - will let you know how it went!

@hypervillain Thanks Hugo! 🙏 Feel free to DM me on Twitter or drop me an email if you have any questions.
@cliffordoravec Love this! Looks very promising, but I noticed that it isn't very mobile friendly. I hope this is something that you plan to do in the future, in which case I might also be using Connsentjs soon :)

@cliffordoravec Maybe it's just me but I don't understand what a "European Union natural person" is. The term "natural person" bugged me. Is it a citizen? Any person of any citizenship being in the EU? So basically, I was just left confused and closed the website. Also, from what I read here and there, the EU new requirements are vague enough to create much confusion worldwide. Even very big companies haven't figured it out yet and chose to close their websites to EU citizens altogether. So how could you have figured it out by yourself? Can you certify 100% that your solution is 100% legal? Just wondering.
