Connect With Strangers (Beta)

I love the idea in terms of "be the change you want to see in the world" ; society, culture, news, media, even social media feels so divisive -- instead of unifying people we seem more divided than ever. In my experience, when people actually converse with others with differing viewpoints I find everyone learns something - that's a product I can get behind.

Hi, I'm Alex Vanston at With Strangers! The With Strangers platform is designed to turn the social media bubble inside out. Instead of pulling you into more of the same echo chamber, we help you meet people who have vastly different backgrounds and beliefs from you. That might mean a different race, sexuality, political ideology, or something else entirely. We believe that different perspectives should be an opportunity to learn and explore, rather than something to shy away from. Connect is our first product, a simple messaging platform to help you start actually having those conversations and getting to know one another. We have several more products envisioned for the future, all built on the same platform and belief that Strange Is Good. We're still in beta, so there might be a few hiccups, but we'd love your feedback and comments (on the app or even just the idea itself).
