Author here, thank you @Imran Esmail for posting here! 5 years ago, I started on a journey to put my years playing World of Warcraft at an extremely competitive level into words. What I found instead was a story about finding your place in the world, and what it's like to feel like you don't belong. A story about adolescence, and puberty, and first girlfriends, and school dances. A story about stomach aches, and faking sick, and skipping school, and last minute book reports. A story about parental expectations, and being diagnosed with learning disorders, and getting kicked out of class for being "disruptive." A story about the American Dream, and the guilt that comes along with growing up privileged. And most of all, a story about dreams, and all the things you willingly give up in order to bring what you imagine into reality. This is a story from my soul. This is for every kid who has ever felt misunderstood, trying to explain to the world what it is they love. This is my story, and I hope it inspires your own. Confessions of a Teenage Gamer, now available.

My buddy @nicolascole77 has been working hard on this book for a few years and although I haven't had a chance to run through it just yet...I know about his life story and it's an awesome one. If his writing in this book is as great as his writing on Inc and Quora - I'm sure you guys are going to really enjoy this book...especially all the gamers out there.

This book is just like the author: infectious, charming, and sarcastic as hell. A great first book by an up and coming author. Excited to read more by him in the future.

What games do you mention in the book? And what were some of your key lessons over the years?
Nicolas ColeMaker@nicolascole77 · Author
@navidnathoo The book is mostly about World of Warcraft, and how my years playing that game taught me discipline, persistence, and a work ethic I have since integrated into everything from fitness to entrepreneurship.
