Most Apple Watch fitness apps focus on your individual streak or throw you into huge leaderboards. Competo is built around small, private groups where your daily rings turn into one simple score everyone understands. Group-first, not solo-first โ€“ you join or create a group from day one, so motivation comes from people you already know, not random usernames. Everything is the same as it would be 1vs1 competition on you Apple Fitness app.

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m Justin, the solo dev behind Competo. Competo started from a simple frustration: I was closing my Apple Watch rings, my friends were closing theirs, but we had no simple way to actually compete all together and stay accountable as a small group. Apple was providing only 1vs1 competition. So I built Competo around tiny, private groups where your daily rings turn into one clear score everyone understands. No manual logging, no extra tracking โ€“ just: did you show up today or not? This is very much v1 / MVP: - iOS + Apple Watch only - Focused on small groups (friends, couples, teams) - One job: keep each other consistent What Iโ€™d love your help with: - Does onboarding make it obvious what to do next? - Is the group experience clear and motivating? - What would make this 10ร— better for your existing fitness group? If you try it, please do it with at least 1โ€“2 friends. Thatโ€™s where the real value is. Drop any feedback in the comments, ty!
