This is a little app that I built a few years ago to help track my habit of writing 1,000 words a day. That eventually turned into writing 3 books in over 650 days of consistent writing. It's a simple focused app to keep you on track. I hope you like it!

@nathanbarry hey Nathan, I bought this months back. I think you mentioned it at MicroConf so I gave it a shot. Anyways, one feature that's valuable (which is why I switched over to Coach.me, formerly Lift) is the ability to set the # of times per week. Some things you don't do every day (such as go to the gym). The simplicity is great but I always felt horrible when I broke a streak despite the fact that I was being consistent. Just a thought!

@allnick Yep, there are plenty of apps that support that, but I don't want to with Commit. My goal is to keep it really simple. Maybe you don't go to the gym every day, but you do follow your exercise plan. Which may include taking a rest day. Or stretching (which you should be doing every day). In general I find doing something every day builds a better habit. But I totally get why some people may not want to.

I started using Commit since July 2014 to help me create a habit to learn Front End Web Development, I'm now on my 184 day of this amazing journey, in the past I was only design static websites using Photoshop and then delivering them to the client, but now with the help of Commit I can accept projects and provide the client with design and development using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. I recommend this app to anyone want to create a new habit! :) A photo of my current streak:

Sweet! It's fun to see those streaks get over 100 days.

Started using this for a New Years goal. Nice simple app. Alternative was to buy a calendar and score out days. Commit is much handier :-)

Bought this app back when I had an iPhone and would love to see an Android version. Any plans?
