How did Astra change the scope or ambition of what you built?

Astra helped take CodexFolio beyond a profile-launching CLI toward a local companion for managing Codex work. I used it to validate milestone 4 (Safe Continuation and recovery), then to plan and implement milestone 5 (dashboard and background service). The ambition is a repeatable delivery workflow with evidence-based milestone gates. When the final issue in a milestone is completed, the milestone workflow triggers automatically. Our custom gpt-6-astra reviewer runs read-only, tracing acceptance criteria through child tickets, implementation, tests, and verification evidence before reporting completion or gaps. This puts Astra to work across planning, implementation, and independent validation of a system spanning profiles, usage visibility, and recovery. The code and reviewer configuration are public. Core CLI features are available as a source-build preview; dashboard and service work lives on the milestone 5 branch, with release qualification still pending.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Rajesh, the maker of CodexFolio, an open-source, local-first companion for the installed Codex application. CodexFolio brings together isolated identity profiles, read-only usage evidence, and repository-first checkpoints for interrupted work. It's a development preview that you can build from source. For the GPT-6 Astra Challenge, I used Astra to validate milestone 4 (Safe Continuation and recovery), and for planning and implementation of milestone 5 (the local dashboard and background service). Its job is to trace acceptance criteria to implementation and test evidence, surface incomplete requirements, and audit completion before the milestone is declared done. Astra's contribution spans reviewing the recovery foundation and building out the next stage of the companion. The gallery includes a live local Overview capture and repository implementation screenshots using test data.
