I started with codecademy when I began learning JS. It's a great place to start but if you get stuck on a problem, be prepared to ask for help because their hints aren't great. I highly recommend Codecademy for beginners who want to learn online after work. Also, go through the courses with a friend if you can, that will help a ton!

One of the only resources I recommend that I regularly get told 'is surprisingly fun'.
