Check

The ephemeral to-do list for iOS

Check is an ephemeral to-do list for iOS. It provides:

- tasks are removed after a certain duration

- you can define the duration for tasks in hours (default is 24 hours).

- The "task graveyard": Tasks which are not finished within the duration are killed and can be found in the graveyard. You can easily revive them and try them again later.

Cool to see you expand on @jsngr's project, @chryb_. I'm still waiting for someone to build a version of this that uses AI to complete the tasks for me. 😁
@rrhoover Thank you! That's a brilliant idea but a bit more complicated than this I guess. πŸ˜…
Hi, Hunters! πŸ‘‹ ✌️ Today, I'm here to launch Check. It's a simple to-do list where the tasks disappear after a certain duration. Or in @rrhoover words: "The Snapchat of to-do apps πŸ‘»" 😁 The concept adds a bit pressure which helps me to really get shit done. I got inspired by Gone which was launched on Monday this week by @jsngr. I really love the idea but the web version does not fit my needs so I made my own version. In addition to Gone, I've added some more features: - A custom duration for tasks in hours. The default value is 24 hours. - The "task graveyard": Tasks which are not finished within the duration are killed and can be found in the graveyard. You can easily revive them and try them again. - Check is a native iOS app - Maybe I will add an overview about completed tasks later I hope you enjoy the app and let me a comment. πŸ™ 😬 πŸ˜€
The design is clean. But as a UX Designer, I believe, you need to improve the UX more. It's still confusing to add a task. The "Plus" icon confused me every time!
@farhan_rizvi Thanks :) That's a very good point. In the next update, I will let the plus button create the task if the keyboard is expanded.
@chryb_ Cool! That'll add more charm! Good luck mate.

It's a nice way to plan your day, with enough pressure to get shit done.

Pros:

very simple, but useful to-do list with a beautiful design

Cons:

nothing to say here

Personal opinion about a to-do list is to remind me things I need to do, not to hurry me finish something in a certain period of time.

I can totally see myself wrote something down, and it disappeared after 24h, but I still haven't get it done. And then I need to go find what I wrote before.

Set an reminder a few hours before the thing need to be done is a much better way to help me complete my to-do list.

Pros:

Clean UI

Cons:

Bad concept for getting things done
