Built this out of annoyance. MMM vendors charge $$$ for what is in many ways the easier part of the problem (running the model). The hard part is how you take action on the results and integrate them with everything else (attribution, incrementality testing, budget management, LTV, etc.) Because most marketers are non-technical, the modeling gets mystified and overpriced. Meanwhile, smaller teams must make spend allocation decisions off suboptimal attribution data (in-platform, last-click, etc.) because they can't afford the enterprise offering. CheapMMM is a free and fast modeling step, so teams can spend more time on judgment and the other hard stuff. Worth mentioning: it works best with at least 6 months of weekly data.
