When you’re working hard to bring your ideas to life, your first priority should be your team, not your admin. We created CharlieHR to solve the challenges that we faced while starting our own businesses.

I've been using CharlieHR for a year now. As an Office Manager I very often need quick and easy access to information and CharlieHR offers just that. Simple to use, great user experience, a team who always seem ready and willing to take customer feedback and work on suggestions to improve or add to the product. I would definitely recommend.

Easy to navigate, great user experience, super useful product that makes life a lot easier

I have been using it for the last few months and it has been a lot easier to use and helpful than previous HR software i've used.

It can help you get to know people in different teams, book holiday, sick days etc.

I really like the look and feel as well, feels friendly not overly corporate!

Found it really helpful for reviewing, tracking and submitting holidays for large teams, and Slack integrations help me understand who is working and where. Also super helpful for storing docs like handbooks and internal processes.

Pros:

Super easy to navigate, v helpful for keeping track of team members.

Cons:

Not really had any.

Been using the tool for over a year and having previously had everything on spreadsheets / google docs. Easy to onboard my team and all new team members which is great for getting new joiners up and running. We're much more organised around payroll which is largely down to the ease of the tool capturing all updates. Moreover, checklists have made the process of onboarding and offboarding team members much much smoother. Would highly recommend switching to this tool if you want to save you and your team some time.

Pros:

Saves me huge amounts of time, beautifully designed and easy to onboard new team members.

Cons:

It used to be that it didn't have a performance management tool but they've just rolled this out...happy days!

I've been using CharlieHR for around 9 months now and find in invaluable.

Pros:

Really easy to use and navigate, really good value for money, responds quickly to any questions you may have.

Cons:

Can't really think of any!

We rate trust higher than anything. It doesn't take much to run a few servers for small startups using some basic features. It isn't like they were taking feature requests from free customers and that's okay. But, for companies it is an additional effort to move the data out to any other open source or free software. Wouldn't have opted for it if it was mentioned earlier that they take promises lightly.

Pros:

It has basic functionality that is required for a startup

Cons:

Went back on their words of keeping it free, forcing people to pay now. Having invested a lot of effort on it, it's a very bad experience

Despite the flaws, the service was generally solid and helped our organisation with its HR. But despite numerous promises to keep the core service free, they've gone back on their word and implemented charges. No warning, no discussion and just 6 weeks to move to a new service or they close our account.

It took a good deal of time and effort to get things going in the first place, but now we're going to look elsehwhere, because even though the price isn't too bad, what's to stop them increasing it next year, and again the year after that? Once a company is shown to be untrustworthy, you cant make a long term commitment to it.

Does the basics well.

Cons:

Promised a free core service forever, went back on their word.
