Hey Hunters! 👋
I got sick of going to "4.8-star" restaurants and clinics in my city only to find terrible service and fake hype. The Google Maps review system is easily manipulated.
As a dev, I decided to fix it. I built CautaAcum:
🤖 How it works: I scraped over 680k local reviews (starting with Bucharest, Romania as my test market).
🚩 The Engine: Wrote a Node.js pipeline to flag anomalies (like a sudden spike of 50 short 5-star reviews in two days) and used LLMs to extract the real pros and cons into an honest summary.
⚡ The Stack: Built for insane speed using Astro.js.
Right now, it solves a massive local problem in Romania, but the anti-fake engine is universal. I’d love your brutal feedback on the idea, the UI, or the tech stack. Roast away!
