Woah - just tried it out and I was definitely surprised about how great of an experience I had. The user interface, controls, and design is beautifully done - the graph is excellent. Great job @baptistelaget! One thought - I was a bit confused about what the possibilities were/are of Castor before I signed up. If I had seen more of what the possibilities are with Castor beforehand, I think I would have had a better grasp of it as a whole. I know it's a data dashboard but those words don't convey how this product stands out from other dashboards (and I think it does stand out). Do you have any other/more examples of what you have built as a dashboard with Castor? I would love to see how others are using the power of it for their own personal purpose
Thanks @kevinguebert for your nice feedback! I'll definitely look into the website and post some user stories – guess it'll help users and ease onboarding.
@baptistelaget Agree with Kevin above, if it wasn't for his glowing review to peak my curiosity, the site alone would not have drawn me in.
Hey Hunters! First product on Product Hunt here! I developed Castor as a pet project inside my company to display our metrics in a simple web page, using multiple data sources. I wanted it to be webhooks-ready: the widgets needed to get data from the servers and not fetch the data by themselves and I think it’s one of the coolest features in Castor. We learned early December that Panic’s Status Board was being discontinued, and we thought it would be a great idea to share Castor with the community then. We really believe plenty of users will be happy with the Free edition, but we also have a Pro version, with advanced feature including multiple dashboards and webhooks support. I really think there is a bright future for Castor, with multiple new widgets coming along, and I just can’t wait to see what others create with it.
Just a heads up that I am not able to sign up using FB - it says "App Not Set Up: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions."
Thanks for the heads up @gorkemcetin! It's now fixed and everything should work as expected with the Facebook login.
I have used kibana dashboard with ElasticSearch? Is Castor better? I am not that happy with Kibana. Also any integrations with hbase or hive?
I've used in the past one similar product called Cyfe. Had a little of fun setting it up but it ended up not as sweat to use on a daily basis as I expected. Gonna try Castor out :)
