Determining the amount of carbs in your food is hard but essential for diabetics, since they need to know how much insulin they need to inject for their meal. CarbScanner takes out the guesswork and tells you how much insulin you need based on just a photo.
Hi everyone! 👋
I have Diabetes type 1 and my New Years' Resolution for 2025 was to get better control over my glucose levels, which is why I made Carbscanner.
Often when I have a plate of food in front of me I don't know all the ingredients and I definitely don't know how many carbs are in each of those ingredients. Now I know how many carbs are in my meal in just a photo, and I immediately know how much insulin I need too.
I hope I can help some other diabetics with their glucose management too. Insulin levels can be personalized to your needs so you can just snap a photo and be done with weighing your food and going through all the nutrition details on the packaging.

Does it support other languages? I have a relative who also has diabetes, and I want to recommend it to him.
@evakk It does not support other languages right now, but I can add that in the future. What language does your relative need?
