Hello Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Nishal, the maker of CarbonLint. As developers, we are obsessed with optimizing our code for speed and performance (O(n) anyone? 🤓). But we rarely see the environmental cost of our development workflows in real-time. With the rise of heavy compute tasks and AI, I wanted to build something that makes "Green Coding" accessible right from your desktop. CarbonLint is a desktop app that monitors your development environment's carbon footprint. 🌍 It helps you answer: "How much CO2 did that last build generate?" "Is my code optimized for energy efficiency?" "What is the carbon intensity of my local grid right now?" ✨ Key Features: Real-time Dashboard: Live monitoring of CPU, Memory, and Network energy usage. Regional Accuracy: It applies regional carbon intensity data (based on where you are) to give you accurate CO2 estimates. Budget Alerts: Set daily carbon limits for your workstation. CI/CD Ready: Integrate it into your pipeline to measure the cost of your tests. It’s built with Electron, React, and Vite. It’s fully Open Source, and I’d love for you to give it a spin. 🙏 My Ask: I’m looking for feedback on the UI and the metrics. Does this help you visualize your impact? What other "green metrics" would you like to see? Let me know what you think in the comments below! 👇 — Nishal
