    Pros:

Great design - quality hd video recording

    Cons:

Canary screwed their long time supporters by crippling the camera unless you pay monthly $$$

I preordered the Canary after their kickstarter ended. Loved the device. The app on Android was flaky for a year, but steadily improved. Until they added membership. Then they slowly took away all the features I loved and moved them to membership. Now I have a live streaming camera, not a security device.

Sean Schick has used this product for one year.

@iamtimhoover recently joined Canary as a lead designer. Good guy as well, focused on an interesting space.

Not "new" per se - Canary popped up earlier this year, and it still in the pre-order phase - but a very compelling looking product that promises to disrupt the home security business.

Yes! Canary is awesome. I worked with Jon Troutman (one of the founders) at GA before he left to start Canary. Awesome guy, awesome product.

Canary is awesome. I'm excited to see them in market after previewing the device and its capabilities last year at CES.

Can't help but hope that Nest is working on something similar. They seem positioned perfectly for a similar product with deeper integration to whole home automation.
