The idea came from a very simple problem: when shopping at the supermarket I kept trying to mentally track the total of my cart to avoid going over budget. After a few items, I had no idea how much I was actually spending. I used to switch between the calculator and my shopping list, which was slow and error-prone. So I built an app that lets you take a photo of the shelf price tag and automatically adds the product and price to your cart total. A few things the app can do: Read different shelf label formats Keep the cart total updated in real time Automatically mark items from your shopping list when scanned Share a cart with another person while shopping Keep a history of your grocery trips The app is currently in closed testing on the Play Store, and I'm mainly looking for feedback on the idea and usability. I'm especially curious about: Would you actually use something like this while shopping? What would make this more useful than just using a calculator?
