Button Kit by 44 is a button toolbox for designers and iOS developers. As a designer you get a Sketch document with ready-to-use and code-backed symbols for modern button designs. As a developer you get a Swift Package that lets you implement the designs.
I've been working as a designer/developer, as a Product Designer (with developers) and as a developer (with designers). Something that's bothered me in all cases is the need to reinvent common little UI components, simple things like buttons that give a subtle feedback on tap, has a built-in spinner state and different layouts.
It's time consuming to to implement these things well and it's usually not a priority in fast-paced workplaces. As a designer I've often felt the need to hold back on details that actually are important for the user experience, but don't seem important enough to management. As a developer I've spent lots of time building and maintaining simple UI components that really shouldn't take so much time. And as a user I'm tired of apps with buttons that don't give feedback, are different sizes and aren't otherwise well made.
So I've put together a Kit that contains both a Sketch file for designers *and* a Swift Package for developers. So that designers can feel comfortable about adding good buttons to their design, knowing developers won't need to spend much time reinventing the wheel.
Feel free to give it a spin and let me know what you think!
