„An SSD that fits on your keychain” So it's a pendrive?
@popydo Depends on the controller they use. With 500MB/s write speeds, it sounds like it's using an SSD controller instead of a typical controller found on flash drives (which usually results in way lower write speeds like 20-100MB/s). If it legitimately reaches the claimed speeds, it would be way faster than nearly all "pen drives". There are a few pen-drive-sized-SSDs already on the market but they are fairly rare (the Corsair Flash Voyager GTX is one that comes to mind).

I use Linux on USB drives when I want to travel lite. This looks like a dream as far as using pro apps and what I can really accomplish from my pocket.
True. How *does* this differ from a 2tb pen drive?
@benjamineevans Likely the controller is an SSD-style controller (AFAIK that would be the only way to reach the claimed speeds on such a device). Pen drives (even fast ones) are much slower than 500MB/sec
I hope this is coming with lots of encryption as it seems awfully easy to misplace
