Boatwork was born out of a personal frustration: Finding qualified people to help us maintain and repair our first boat. How do you distinguish someone qualified from someone who is not? For example: Boatyards are expensive and sometimes an experienced electrician can solve a minor electrical problem at 1/10th of the cost and effort of a reputable yard. And boat mechanics are everywhere - but how do we really know if they're qualified? The marine service industry works on reputation - distributed across Facebook posts and specialty forums. Boatwork brings it all together - helping boat owners sort through professionals with photos and reviews while helping contractors manage their reputation and grow their businesses.
