 I’m Wisani, and I’m super excited to announce Boardroom - a dating app for professionals who are looking to date professionals alike. I know: "Not another dating app!" Hear us out ✍️
We created Boardroom because we saw that all the big dating apps had these two same problems: 1. Poor quality of profiles (and bots) because they're open to everyone 2. Ghosting & despondency because they're designed like casinos ✅ Addressing the quality problem ========================== Being working professionals ourselves, we saw an opportunity to build a dating app that was limited to other working professionals with an already well-crafted online presence - we thought this was a good proxy to solve for the first problem. 
👻 Addressing the ghosting problem ============================ Soon after testing the app, we fell into the same ghosting issues that other platforms faced - and we narrowed it down unintentional swiping and overmatching. The typical dating app lets you match with an unbounded number of people. The problem users face is that they either have too many chats to manage, or they’re destined to match with other users who have too many chats to manage. Imagine a real life scenario where you’re trying speak to the president when 100 other people are trying to do the same thing - chances are, not everyone will get a chance!

Our solution was to have a three chat limit. This guarantees that anytime two people are chatting, we’re simulating “6 people in a room”, where the likelihood of being present in the conversation is higher. 👉 Some key differentiators for Boardroom ================================ ✅ LinkedIn verification 💬 Three chat limit 💖️ You can see your likes for free 📖 We manually review profiles We're super excited for you to try out the app. We can't wait to hear your feedback and suggestions. @yudhi_moodley Thanks for all the support and encouragement throughout the journey Yudhi! Income bracket is a difficult one, as it may incentivise the wrong behaviour. But it's something we'll think deeply about. One of our next big features is filtering by job level, but this also needs careful design - since an executive at a 1 person business is different from an executive from a publicly listed business of 100,000 staff.

Hmm this is good, but what if a manager finds his/her team member on the app? Is there any filter to avoid that?

@shushant_lakhyani Hi Shushant, that's a great question! We've got an incognito feature, where you can still reach out to people, but not appear in public :) We're also working on a feature to hide people from your organisation

@shushant_lakhyani @wisanishilumanimakes Wisani wonder if there is a way to hide people just on your immediate team haha? Maybe you can type in their name, the app does not tell you whether they exist on the app, but as long as name & company are in the database it won't suggest you to your immediate team? Idk just asking for too much as a customer maybe 🙈
