My skeptic meter was going insane while watching this video. I hope they can derive great results from this device, but I just don't see it happening with what they have created here.

YES! I love it. This seems to break the norm for wearables away from simple activity monitoring market that everyone and there mother seems to be competing in. It's original and I like it :D

@etaigranit מדהים! This is a great example of what wearables can be. Can it still function if I pinned it to my shirt? Can I possibly use it as a Bluetooth for my phone in addition to tracking my eating habits? My mom would be the first to have this!

Seems really promising. But can it tell the difference between chugging water and a milkshake? It would seem the two would have similar chew counts and "gulp signatures". Very interested nonetheless.

@kckern BitBite includes a voice recognition algorithm that allows you to say out loud what you are eating / drinking and in that sense distinguishes between the different type of foods. In addition, BitBite learns your eating habits, so if every morning you drink a glass of orange juice, BitBite will guess that you are drinking that in the morning...
