Thanks @maccaw for the hunt! Hey folks, Danny McCarthy here (Birch Maker). I launched Birch about 6 months ago. The initial response was way more than I expected and was amazing to see! Apple featured it in “Apps We Love Right Now” and it’s now installed in 159 countries. I got tons of incredible feedback, so I went heads down and just wrapped up a major update. This includes a brand new, fully native iPad app, a totally rebuilt iCloud sync engine, plus many other improvements and tweaks. I initially built Birch for myself, because my photo album was 75% pics of whiteboards from work and random reminder stuff from around the house. It’s been amazing to learn that so many other people use photos this way, and to hear how Birch has been helping them make this much more organized and efficient. Happy to answer any questions, and there are still a lot of new features and improvements on the way!

I love the use cases. Any ETA on when it's going to be ready on Android?
Danny McCarthy
@grdeken Thanks, Grant! Android is in the works right now, I'll let you know when it's close!

Love this idea! I’m always collecting reference photos but get fed up with them in my camera roll. Good price point for pro too. Any plans for iCloud sync?
Danny McCarthy
@victoria_teasdale Thanks, Victoria! iCloud sync is currently included in the Pro upgrade! It works both as backup, and real-time sync between your iPhone and iPad.

I use this all the time for work. I'm constantly in grocery stores takes pictures of competitive shelves and also tracking our product's movement. This is a must download app if you need to stay organized.

@chocomilk42 Thanks, Josh!

I love this app! At 63 ,I am becoming more forgetful these days and taking photos of things I need for groceries ,household items or products recommended by friends I just snap a photo and give it a few hashtags and when I am out and about I can instantly retrieve my photo and get exactly what I need! No more taking the wrong item home only to have to make returns! . It's also wonderful for organizing important receipts and bills for accurate record keeping. But above all ,I just love how Birch allows me to organize all my Iphone photos that I can now easily find without having to scroll my entire photo library and album collections. Brilliant App!

Would you even say it's for... ( ••)>⌐■-■ ... indivisuals?

looks great! Any plans for video support? I've been looking for something like this that would also support short videos.
Danny McCarthy
@paul_denhoed1 Thanks, Paul! Video is definitely coming soon on the road map, and base support for it is already built into the core of the app. Email me at daniel@danielmac.co if you'd like a heads up when it's available.
