@jmover and I were trading thoughts re. the wave of restaurant reservation apps launched in 2014 (https://twitter.com/jmover/statu...). a few restaurants in SF are already welcoming different reservation styles (i.e. "tickets").
given the frustration of grabbing a reservation, it's not surprising to see a flurry of new products launch focused on tackling this problem. BeeLine is interesting as it combines (1) more customization based on menu/drink type as well as (2) extends the type of merchant on the platform via nightlife. the app is currently live in Boston and SF and coming soon to NYC.
it'd be great to grab the founder, @nickbelsito, for an AMA. nick, why did you build the app?

@daveambrose other trend happening, and seems to be related to this, is the idea of bringing "concierge" type experiences to the masses via mobile. Sosh, Reserve, even the delivery apps are creating curated presold premium experiences for consumers. Restaurant works with Sosh to provide prix fixe menu & drinks/wine in advance sale, allows restaurant to control food cost & margins while giving consumer white glove experience. Winning

A lot of players have been entering the restaurant reservation space. You also have @resy with a different take of paying a fee to get a reservation.
