Hi everyone!

Let me introduce myself real quick - I'm Emmanuel, I've been learning software development since 2020, but this is my first real product launch and I'm super excited for it!

You know all these 'edits' on tiktok, youtube and instagram? Those ones where they pick an idol or main character, and make their visuals sync with the beats of the music? I've been trying to create those recently. However, I'm currently using Davinci Resolve 20, and as of writing, Auto Detect Beats - a feature that is supposed to actually mark on your timeline where each beat drops, is still behind a paywall, on Davinci Resolve Studio. I could listen through the audio and mark the beats manually, but doing that is not just kind of time-consuming, but also inaccurate. And trust me, 50ms misses for beats is actually super noticable.

I looked online for tools that might do this for me automatically, but all I found were either BPM detectors or super complex software to download. So, in order to solve my own problem, I created this product. It doesn't just detect evenly-spaced beats, but also onsets where the beats drop, and generates a .edl file ready for you to drop into your video editor. This came after weeks of experimenting with Librosa and Essentia, I thought I was even going to make use of some AI models for this too. Ultimately, I created something that may be able to cover most use cases. The most important part? It's (relatively) fast and simple to use, right in the browser.
