This product is a few years old but Beaker 1.0 recently launched. I stumbled upon it when I was reading about the whole decentralized movement and the need for data privacy. Great concept and looking forward to exploring it more.

Hi all, I'm a co-creator of Beaker. You can find some information about the technology at https://hypercore-protocol.org. If you follow me on Twitter (https://twitter.com/pfrazee) I'm live-streaming the build of a hybrid p2p/federated social network called CTZN and I announce the streams on the account. We're building it to interact with Beaker so that you can keep your p2p database on your local machine but "loan it out" to a federated server, which will hopefully split the difference on data independence/ownership and participation in communities. Btw, Beaker's actually 1.0, not 2.0. We had a long beta period. (I didn't submit.)
