Hi Product Hunt Peeps! 👋 We are a small team of developers and are proud to launch Basket Case - Grocery List.
We built this application because the current available options are either too basic or a bit outdated. Basket Case is designed for both solo shoppers and shared households. You can organize items into custom categories, collaborate with friends or family, see updates in real time, track prices, and keep a history of everything that happens within the app.
We have spent much time refining the app - removing unnecessary complexity, improving the experience, and focusing on making grocery shopping faster and less frustrating.
If you are someone who uses a grocery list app and would like to be a part of our journey, we would absolutely be thrilled if you give us a try. Our objective is to make the easiest, most intuitive grocery list application available, and every suggestion helps us get closer. We’d also love your honest feedback on our App Store presentation, screenshots and message delivery. Thanks for taking the time to check us out, and feel free to share your thoughts or questions below!
Transparency note: To enable our powerful household sharing and other premium features, there is two small subscription options available. YOU DO NOT need a subscription to use the app in its basic form and 99% of our users currently fall into this category!!
Come join our 200 happy and growing user base and don’t become a BASKET CASE!!

Been using a shared list app with my partner and the thing we always end up wanting is a way to assign items to specific people, like me grabbing produce while they handle frozen stuff. Would love that here.

@nurcantayli0ey That is an excellent use case! Basket Case may be of benefit to you in this way. The way our app works is you can have different categories for different shopping items. This means your items can be sorted by things like frozen products, dairy, produce etc. The full list (categorized) will show for both users and actively sync while shopping! You could, if you wanted, temporarily put each other’s name in the category title OR simply start on different ends of the store (or list)!

Shared list actually synced fast when my partner added milk while I was at the store. The repeat items feature is a nice touch, though I wish the free tier had a few more customizations.

@aliakboae8xr Our goal is to make ALL of our users satisfied (even free users)..
While we can’t promise integration, what kind of customizations would you like? :)

The real-time sync across household members is genuinely smooth and feels instant. Love that the activity history lets you see exactly who added what and when, which keeps everyone accountable without needing to nag.

@uyanbal77090 Thank you so much for your kind review. The history tab is a useful feature for knowing how much you spend over time, what stores you went to and more. It’s important that we provide an all around shopping experience, every step of the way!

The real-time shared lists are a really thoughtful touch for households juggling who grabbed what. Love that the activity history actually shows you patterns instead of just dumping receipts.
