What do you think? …

do these spikes not dig into your back?
Alex Chan
@_jacksmith No, they don't. They are nicely spaced to distribute the weight around your back. You do feel they are there but they don't dig it. It's also made of a flexible material so it helps absorbs some shock and vibration. We have a couple reviews posted from people who have tested it so far.

I regularly commute to work and travel with a backpack. On many occasions, I experienced sweaty backs and sore shoulders so I looked for options. Hiking bags and bike panniers aren't as useful in as many situations as my backpack so I invented bakspacer. Now, I'm looking for others with the same issues to help me bring this product to life through Kickstarter.

I tried a prototype and love it!

Is this suitable for running with? Where I run with my bag I have it done up quite tight, which means the shoulder straps can sometimes cut into my shoulders. How does this improve weight distribution on the shoulders?
Alex Chan
@chriftc Hi Chris, I have taken it on jogs but not long runs. I mainly bike as my mode of transport and it's great for that. If you run with a backpack tight, as you should, this should work fine. It does help with weight distribution by taking the weight off your lower back to distribute across your whole back, which does take some strain off your shoulders. We have a few prototypes out in the field and below in my response to Jack Smith, I linked a review we got back from one of the guys yesterday who's used it for running up and down stairs and around work in general. I didn't want to post the link twice.

Added some new fun videos for Friday!

More than just a holiday, Thanksgiving is special because it's a time for people to get together just because they care. There are no gifts expected or exchanged and even though it's a day full of food, the food doesn't actually have to be good. It's about who you're with and a time to be thankful about what you have. We are thankful for the opportunity to have created something new, to make all the ridiculous marketing we've imagined to promote it, and for the friends and family that have supported us. We are also thankful to you all in the Product Hunt community for the upvotes and interest in our product. So on that note, enjoy the horrible voice acting as we pioneer stop motion backpack animation! Please share the video and continue spreading the word about this Kickstarter! Thank you all for your support. Happy Thanksgiving.
