What do George Harrison, Steve Jobs, and Andrew Weil have in common (beyond an admitted fondness for acid)? This book, among other things. Follow Paramahansa Yogananda from his youth in India through his lifelong journey in the Kriya Yoga tradition, a pursuit which ultimately leads him to a pre-countercultural America. It's a beautiful, challenging, often transcendent read.

Bought this and couldn't get through the third chapter. There are tonnes of (perhaps too many) supernatural occurrences and I'm big on yoga (both the mental and physical practice) but the stories were too fantastic for me.

@travisleestreet People love strange things, for strange reasons. I agree with you. There are far better books out there than this one.
